Your 2018 Fall Events Guide from McKinley Beach

With the Fall season in the Okanagan comes a whole host of events and festivals for all the family to enjoy. Whether you’re choosing to stay home at McKinley Beach and enjoying the trails and the picturesque Fall scenery, or if you’re looking to head out and take advantage of events around town, we have a handy dandy guide to help you along:

What: McMillan Farms Festivities and Pumpkin Patch

When: September 29th
Where: #1 – 3690 Berard Rd, Kelowna
McMillan Farms will once again be opening to the public to enjoy the Fall festivities, pumpkin patch, hayrides, corn maze, and more! Fun for the whole family and a great way to mark the start of the season.

What: BreakOut West

Where: Various Locations
This 4-day event featuring over 60 showcasing bands is your Kelowna connection to the international music scene. With so many acts, events, and concerts, it’ll be easy to discover your next favourite band!

What: Okanagan Marathon

Where: City Park
Lace up your running shoes and get training! The Okanagan Marathon takes place October 6th and 7th and includes competitive races with varying lengths including 5k, 10k, half and full marathons, along with a kid’s run and other fun events and elements.

What: Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery Mixoff

Where: Laurel Packing House
Featuring local wine, craft beer, and spirits, the Mixoff will pit bartenders against each other to create the very best cocktail! The event includes appetizers, live music, and then you get to vote on your favorite cocktail!

What: Field of Screams at O’Keefe Ranch

Where: O’Keefe Ranch – 9380 Hwy 97N, Vernon
If you’ve never been chased through a dark corn maze by a terrifying clown, now’s your chance. While there are a number of ‘haunted’ corn mazes that crop up (pun intended) in the Okanagan every Halloween, few are as entertaining as the show put on at O’Keefe Ranch. This year’s circus theme is sure to induce some screaming from all ages.

Where: Penticton Trade and Convention Centre
The Okanagan Fall Wine Festival wraps up its season with Cropped: BC’s largest wine tasting and farmer’s market. You can sample wines from all up and down the valley and purchase your favourites to stock up for winter!
